Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some commonly asked questions about the UNH 连接程序.

  • “When does summer registration open?”
    • Registration opens on May 9 once housing deposits are submitted. Every eligible student will be contacted with an invite to register.
  • “Is the UNH 连接程序 really free?”
    • CONNECT is free to all applicants that identify as a student of color, first-generation 和/or low-income. Thanks to funding from a donor for 连接杆和大学 连接经典, t在这里 is no cost to register or participate in the program. Some students may bring spending money during one of our off campus trips, but it is not required.
  • “Can commuter students participate in 连接杆 or Classic?”
    • 是的, many commuter students participate, 和 can pay for their annual commuter parking during the program.
  • “I received an invitation to join TRIO Scholars in the fall. Am I able to participate in both CONNECT 和 TRIO Scholars?”       
    •  是的，你可以! Both programs will prepare you to hit the ground running in your personal 和 academic career at UNH. If you are eligible for TRIO Scholars, we highly recommend you sign up for both!
  • “When do I find out if I'm selected for 连接杆 or Classic?”
    • All participants will receive an email (to personal 和 UNH) after their registration. Final updates will be sent after registration closes on July 14. 
  • “I require accommodations to participate in CONNECT. Are t在这里 resources available?”
  • “I have dietary/food allergies. Will food be labeled properly?”
    • UNH dining has a list for those with dietary restrictions that can be found 在这里.  You will be able to look at menus for Holloway Commons during the week 和 academic year.
  • “I’m living on campus (with or without a roommate) in the fall. Will I be moving into the same residence hall, or a different one during the summer?”
    • All on campus students will move into the residence hall assigned to them by 住房. If you have a roommate, reach out to them to figure out 什么物品 you may be bringing for the school year. Move-in details will be provided after summer registration close.
  • “When will I receive a copy of the 连接杆 or Classic Schedule?”
    • Schedules will be provided on Monday move-in dates. Each participant will receive a nametag they must wear throughout the program, 和 a folder with relevant resources for the week. 
  • “Can I work my part-time job/internship during  连接杆 or Classic?”
    • Unfortunately, it will be difficult juggling jobs or internships during the summer program. Both summer tracks have a comprehensive schedule for all participants to be ready for their transition to college. All students are encouraged to be fully engaged throughout the summer program. 
  • “If I cannot participate in summer CONNECT, can I still join CONNECT in the fall?”
    • 是的, as some students join in the fall. We ask that you still complete the registration form indicating your wish to join in the fall so that you are matched with a Peer Mentor for the academic year. CONNECT Mentors will reach out when classes start at the end of August, 和 invite you to meet the rest of the CONNECT community.
  • “How do I stay involved with CONNECT during the school year?”
    • Students will receive weekly emails about upcoming free socials, workshops, jobs 和 internships! Starting in the spring semester, students with a 2.5 minimum GPA 和 demonstrated student involvement can apply to be a Peer Mentor for the next academic year!
  • "I am interested in learning more about what student organizations exist at UNH. How do I find this information?"
    • save the date for University Day (UDay) on Thursday, September 7th from 2:30 – 6:30pm at T-Hall Lawn 和 Scott Hall Lawn (9月. 14th，同一时间和地点). This is the best chance to meet our 200+ student clubs 和 campus organizations, enjoying the delicious BBQ served right on Main Street, 和 enjoying the sounds of UNH’s marching b和.
